    Environmental Soil Chemistry presents the fundamental concepts of soil science and applies them to environmentally significant reactions in soil. Clearly and concisely written for undergraduate and beginning graduate students of soil science, the book is likewise accessible to all students and professionals of environmental engineering and science.     Description: It is the purpose of this book to present a concise and sufficiently detailed de scription of the present state and possibilities of calculating chemical equilibria of gas mixtures. It is based on a book by one of the authors, published in Czech by the Publishing House Academia in Prague. Soil is a mixture of inorganic and organic solids, air and water. Soil chemistry involves the chemical reactions and processes between these components and particularly focuses on investigating.

    Much of the material covered by Dr. Lindsay is included in his recent book entitled Chemical Equilibria in Soils (John Wiley and Sons). The authors were asked to prepare rather short papers that gave the state-of-the-art of their subject rather than a thorough literature review.   The book offers advanced students, in 7 volumes, successively characterization tools phases, the study of all types of phase, liquid, gas and solid, pure or multi-component, process engineering, chemical and electrochemical equilibria, the .
